How to Draw Frankenstein Head Step by Step
In this drawing tutorial, we will show you how to draw Frankenstein – one of the most famous monsters in popular culture.
Despite the fact that today we are drawing a monster, not a person, the whole drawing process is similar to the process of drawing a common person.
This tutorial on how to draw Frankenstein will be traditionally simple, and even the most inexperienced artist can handle it.
How to Draw Frankenstein
Step 1
Start your Frankenstein monster by drawing the head, ribcage, and pelvis with simple geometric shapes. Connect all these parts with a simple spine line.
Step 2
Now draw Frankenstein's arms and legs with simple lines. Mark the joints as small circles. Please note that the legs should be noticeably longer than the arms.
Step 3
Draw two lines on the head that will help to draw the details of the face later. Use smooth lines to connect the ribcage and pelvis and create the torso.
Step 4
Let's add a little more volume to Frankenstein's arms. To do this, using the auxiliary lines from the second stage, carefully draw the round shoulders, then upper arms, forearms, and hands.
Step 5
Now draw the legs using approximately the same principle. Draw the thighs first, then the lower legs, and at the end of the foot.
Step 6
Let's now start drawing the face of Frankenstein. Using the guidelines from the second step draws the eyes. Then sketch out the massive brow ridges and nose.
Step 7
Now sketch out the mouth and chin. After that draw the ear, the upper edge of which is at the level of the bridge of the nose, and the lower edge is at the level of the tip of the nose.
Step 8
In this step, we will complete drawing the head of Frankenstein. First sketch out the flat top of the head, then the drooping bangs, and complete the step with the neck.
Step 9
Using the guidelines from the previous steps sketch out the sleeves. To make them look more realistic, add folds in the shoulder and elbow areas.
Step 10
Now with smooth and clear lines draw the rest of the jacket, which covers Frankenstein's torso. The monster's clothing should be large and baggy. Try to convey this in your Frankenstein drawing.
Step 11
Draw the fingers with smooth lines. They should stretch out in front as if the Frankenstein monster is trying to grab something.
Step 12
Using the guidelines from the previous steps, draw Frankenstein's pants. Pants have to be big and look like Frankenstein doesn't know how to choose clothes in a store.
Step 13
Now sketch out the boots using the previously drawn outlines of the feet. Boots should also be very large and have high soles.
Step 14
Now armed with an eraser, mercilessly erase all unnecessary auxiliary lines, giving your Frankenstein drawing a clean and complete look.
Step 15
We decided to use yellow-green for the skin, black for the hair and boots, and dark gray for the suit. Don't forget to leave a streak of glare in the hair. To give volume to your Frankenstein drawing, add some shadows.
So, Frankenstein is drawn, and it's time to consolidate the skills and try to make the drawing more interesting.
First, try drawing some cool background for your monster. Next, try adding more varied shadows to give the drawing a more voluminous look.
